Emergency Response and Sports Injuries

A 3-hour course that covers a wide range of first aid skills from emergencies response and common sports injuries. This course is suitable for sports coaches, sports club, umpires and referees. It also serves as a refresher to up-date knowledge on any new protocols. Courses can be structured to suit the needs of your organisations environment and additional subjects can be included where required.

Syllabus

A range of subjects are covered including:

  • Resuscitation and AED awareness
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Sprains/Strains
  • Asthma
  • Epilepsy
  • Eye injuries
  • Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
  • Broken Bones
  • Dislocations
  • Control of bleeding
  • Head Injuries

Assessment

Assessment is ongoing by the instructor using oral questioning and practical observation.

Certification
This qualification lasts for 3 years.

It is recommended that, during the 3 year period, delegates attend annual refresher courses.

Certificates will be posted promptly once full payment has been received.

Venue

All courses can take place at your venue or in a suitable nearby location.
