AED Defibrillation Annual Refresher – Half Day
This very practical course will refresh your knowledge and improve confidence using the AED. You will be up-dated on any new protocols throughout the course. Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED, but it also includes vital training in basic life support, including resuscitation.
Syllabus
A range of subjects are covered including:
- Responsibilities and reporting
- Assessment of the situation
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Infection control
- Resuscitation
- AED functions
- Defibrillation procedures
- Safety measures
Assessment
Assessment is ongoing by the instructor using oral questioning and practical observation.
Certification
The AED full course lasts for 3 years, but, the HSE strongly recommend that qualified first aiders undertake an annual refresher in order to keep their skills up to date and refreshed.
Certificates of attendance will be posted promptly once full payment has been received.
It is recommended that, during the 3 year period, delegates attend annual refresher courses.

All courses can take place at your venue or in a suitable nearby location.
